Petition: Ban Israel from the London 2012 Olympics

The Olympic Games should stand on the principles of sportsmanship, which run parallel to those of basic respectful humanity. Friends of Lebanon, London UK, maintains that the Israeli entity has consistently defied international law and has brought death and destruction not only to Palestine but to the entire region. The global impact of Israel's war-mongering arrogance has been to foster fear and hatred. Its presence at the Olympic Games would taint the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play on which the Games are based.  If you agree, please sign the public petition to boycott Israeli participation in the 2012 Olympics; it is addressed to the International Olympics Committee:  "Ban Israel from the London 2012 Olympics"    http://www.PetitionOnline.com/12101982/

Ride for Palestine 2010

The first Ride for Palestine was a success. The send-off in Southport was well supported and extensively reported in the local media. Fourth from the left in the photo below is Chris Davies, Liberal Democrat MEP, who sent us off with an excellent speech.  But it's just the start. In 2011 there will be a 2nd annual Ride for Palestine, with the new year focusing on the sale of goods produced in illegal settlements.
